This set gives children several ways to work with the 10 times table. Younger learners can count groups of ten, match pictures to equations and complete clear fact families. Children who already know the table can solve missing-factor questions, mixed calculations and short word problems. The pages move from supported practice to more independent recall, so you can choose a suitable starting point. Use these sheets on their own or alongside the wider Multiplication Tables Worksheets collection.
At home, begin with a two-minute oral warm-up. Ask your child to count aloud from 10 to 100, then let them complete one sheet without rushing. In class, place different pages at small-group stations and ask children to explain how they found an answer. A partner can read an equation while the other child gives the product. Keep unfinished work for the next practice session rather than turning it into a long sitting. For wider revision, combine this set with the Multiplication Worksheets.
Children sometimes write the next number in the counting sequence instead of the product, especially when they see a question such as 10 x 6. Encourage them to say six groups of ten, or count ten, twenty, thirty and so on. Another common mistake is leaving out the zero in answers such as 70 or 90. Ask your child to check that every answer has the same value as the repeated addition. For word problems, have them circle the number of groups and underline how many are in each group before choosing the calculation.
It helps children practise equal groups of ten, skip counting in tens and multiplication facts from 10 x 1 to 10 x 12.
They suit children aged 6 to 12. Younger children may need counters or an adult to read the questions, while older children can work on timed recall and word problems.
Practise counting in tens aloud, connect each fact to groups of ten and revisit a few facts each day. Ask your child to explain an answer instead of only copying it.
