This policy explains how Early Activity ("we", "us" or "our") handles personal data when you use earlyactivity.com and our app.

Who can have an account
Accounts are for adults aged 18 or over who choose activities for themselves or for children in their care. We do not create accounts for children and do not knowingly collect children's personal data.
If you think a child has given us personal data, please write to us and we will delete it.
What we collect
We collect only the information needed for the purposes described in this policy.
- Account information: your email address, an optional first name and, if you use Google sign-in, the name and email address Google shares with us. We also record that you confirmed you are 18 or over.
- Your choices: language, newsletter choice, cookie choices and the date you made them.
- Activity in your account: favourites, download history and today's download count, so we can apply the daily allowance.
- Purchases and Plus: order details, including items, prices, currency, billing name and country, GSTIN if you provide one, payment references and subscription status.
- Payment information: card, UPI and PayPal details are handled by Razorpay or PayPal. We do not see or store those payment details.
- Messages: information in messages you send us, including refund requests and help questions.
- Technical information: IP address and device or browser information for security, fraud prevention and rate limiting.
Why we use personal data
We use personal data for the following purposes and legal bases, where applicable:
- To run your account, apply download allowances, deliver purchases and provide Plus, in order to perform our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems, based on our legitimate interest.
- To send transactional emails, such as welcome messages, receipts and Plus billing notices, to perform our contract with you.
- To send the weekly newsletter, only where you have given consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To use analytics and advertising cookies, only where you have given consent. See our cookie policy.
- To keep tax and accounting records, where required by law.
Children's pages
Many pages are designed for children. On those pages, advertisements are never personalised.
Analytics or advertising tags load on those pages only after an adult has accepted them in the cookie banner. Plus members and recent buyers see no advertisements at all.
Who helps us run the service
We share only the information each provider needs to do its job, under the relevant providers' data-processing terms.
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud: sign-in and database services. Servers are in Mumbai, India.
- Hostinger: website and API hosting.
- Cloudflare R2 and ImageKit: file storage and image delivery.
- Razorpay: payments in Indian rupees (₹ INR).
- PayPal: payments in US dollars (US$).
- Zoho (ZeptoMail): transactional email.
- Brevo: newsletter list.
- Google Analytics and Tag Manager, Google AdSense and Meta: analytics and advertising services, only after your cookie consent.
- OpenAI: used by our staff to draft descriptions and translations of our own content. Your personal data is not sent.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country, including in the USA or the EU. Where required, we rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for the periods described below, subject to the requirements that apply to us.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Download events: 13 months.
- Daily usage counters: 90 days.
- Orders and invoices: 8 years for tax record keeping.
- Security and audit logs: up to 3 years.
- When you delete your account, we erase your personal details. Financial records that we must keep are retained with a pseudonymous ID.
Your rights and choices
You can see and change your details in My Account, download a copy of your data through My Account → Your data, change your email and cookie choices at any time, and delete your account.
You can also ask us to access, correct or erase your data, or object to processing, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
You may also complain to your data-protection authority.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising without your consent.
Grievance officer for India
For complaints or concerns relating to personal data or this policy in India, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days, in accordance with applicable requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the Information Technology Act 2000 and Rules, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020.

Early Activity (earlyactivity.com) is a brand of Dotdunia Technologies. Dotdunia Technologies is established in 2010. The Early Activity brand was established in 2022. Lumi the owl is the brand's mascot.
This policy and the service are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction.
