This set includes festival scenes with a clear starting point, a winding route and a cheerful goal. Younger children can follow broad paths with fewer turns, while older children can try narrower routes, crossings and more dead ends. The pictures may include lamps, kites, flowers, sweets, drums, gifts and other familiar celebration details. Children can first trace the route with a finger, then complete it with a pencil. For a wider range of puzzles, you can also try Easy Mazes or Mazes for Kids.
Use one maze as a quiet activity after a story about a festival. In class, place a few different difficulty levels on a table and let children choose a suitable challenge. Ask your child to name the festival objects in the picture, then explain where the route begins and ends. Children can work in pairs, with one child giving directions and the other moving a finger along the path. After finishing, they can colour the picture, circle the goal or draw one more decoration for the celebration.
Children often rush towards a familiar picture and cross a wall without noticing. Encourage your child to pause at each corner and check that the pencil stays inside the path. If they reach a dead end, help them return to the last turning point instead of starting again. Some children also confuse the entrance with the finish, especially when both are decorated. Cover part of the page with a sheet of paper, reveal the maze a little at a time and ask your child to plan the next two turns before moving.

Yes. Children aged 4 and 5 can begin with broad paths and a finger-tracing turn. Older children can try longer routes, more corners and extra dead ends.
Most EarlyActivity printables are free to download with a free account, which allows up to 20 downloads a day. The PDFs are made for A4 and US Letter paper, and you can print them at Actual size, or 100%.
Ask the child to go back to the last place where the path split and check the other route. Covering part of the maze can reduce distractions and make the next choice easier.
