This set includes clear alphabet posters, letter and picture charts, capital and small letter pairs, phonics prompts, and simple letter formation support. Younger children can point to letters, name pictures, and join in with sounds. Children in LKG, UKG and Class 1 can use the charts to practise matching uppercase and lowercase letters, hearing beginning sounds, and forming letters. Older children can use them for spelling warm-ups, CVC word practice, and quick revision. Choose a chart with fewer visual details for a new learner, then offer richer sound and word links as your child gains confidence.
Place one chart near your child's reading or writing space and spend a few minutes with it each day. Ask your child to find a letter in their name, point to a letter you say, or name the picture beside it. In class, display a chart during circle time, use it for a daily letter hunt, or give pairs of children a letter to say, trace in the air, and find on the poster. You can also cover a few letters with sticky notes and turn revision into a gentle memory game. Link the chart to Number Chart 1 to 50 when practising letter and number recognition together.
Children often mix up letters with similar shapes, such as b and d, p and q, or M and W. Instead of asking your child to memorise a long rule, compare the letters on the chart and talk about where the tall line, round part, or slant goes. Some children also know a letter name but cannot hear its beginning sound. Say the picture word slowly and stress the first sound without making it a test. Keep letter names and sounds separate when needed, since a letter can sound different in different words. Short, regular practice works better than correcting every mark at once.
An alphabet chart gives children a visual reference for capital letters, small letters, picture words, and sometimes letter sounds. It can support letter recognition, phonics practice, and early writing.
Choose a chart with large, clear letters, familiar pictures, and little extra detail. At this age, pointing, naming, and singing letter sounds are enough. Formal writing practice can come later.
Point to one letter and say its sound, then name the picture beside it slowly. Ask your child to repeat the sound and find another object nearby that starts with the same sound.
Yes. Use it for circle-time letter hunts, sound practice, letter-of-the-day activities, and quick revision in Nursery, LKG, UKG, or primary classes. You may use the printables at home or in your own classroom.
