This set introduces young children to the early Arabic alphabet with large letter shapes and simple visual prompts. Children aged 2 to 4 can look, point and repeat the letter names with an adult. Children aged 4 to 6 can sort cards, match letters and practise recognising differences between similar shapes. The cards suit short sessions, so you can use a few at a time rather than showing the whole set together. For more early alphabet practice, try Alphabet Flashcards as well.
At home, show one card at a time and say the letter name clearly. Place two or three cards on the floor and ask your child to find a named letter. You can turn the cards face down for a simple memory game, or ask your child to put them in alphabet order with help. In class, give each child a card and invite them to find a classmate with the same letter. Older children can copy a letter on a whiteboard or trace it in sand.
Arabic letters can look alike, and the dots often change the letter. Children may confuse ب, ت and ث, or overlook the dots on ج, ح and خ. Point to the main shape first, then count and discuss the dots above or below it. Arabic is written from right to left, so gently model that direction when placing cards in order. Keep the focus on recognising the letter, not on correcting every mark in a child's first attempt.
They suit children aged 2 to 6. Younger children can point and repeat, while older children can sort, match and copy the letters.
Show a small group of cards, say each letter name and let your child point to the one you name. Repeat for a few minutes and return to the same cards on another day.
Ask your child to look at the main shape and then count the dots. Compare two similar cards side by side, such as ب, ت and ث, before adding more cards.
Yes. Use them for matching games, small group sorting, letter of the day activities and short one to one revision sessions.
