This set brings together familiar UKG work such as letter recognition, beginning sounds, tracing, counting, shapes, patterns, colours and simple EVS ideas. Younger children can work on the matching, colouring and tracing tasks with an adult nearby. Children who are ready for more can try writing answers, completing patterns or sorting items by two features. If your child needs a gentler starting point, begin with LKG Worksheets before returning to these pages. The activities use clear pictures and short instructions so children can focus on one skill at a time.
At home, choose one sheet after breakfast or keep a small folder for quiet practice. Read the instructions aloud, then let your child explain what they need to do before picking up a pencil. In class, use a worksheet for warm-up work, pair children to compare answers, or place related sheets at a small activity centre. A child can colour the pictures after finishing the learning task, then tell you about one answer. For children aged 3 to 5, a short sitting is enough. Older children can complete a page independently and correct it with your help.
Children often rush through tracing, count the same object twice, miss an item in a matching task or confuse letters such as b and d. Ask your child to point to each item as they count and to start at the left when following a line or sequence. For letter work, say the sound and show how the letter is formed rather than asking for repeated copying. If a page feels difficult, cover part of it and finish one small section first. Praise careful looking and clear thinking, not just a fully completed sheet.
They give children practice with early English, maths and EVS skills such as letters, sounds, numbers, shapes, patterns, colours and general awareness.
They are mainly suited to children around UKG age, usually about 4 to 6 years. Easier pages can suit younger children, while older children can use them for revision.
Yes. Choose one short activity, read the directions together and give your child time to work without rushing. You can use the same page again for speaking or revision.
Download the worksheet PDF after signing in to a free EarlyActivity account. Print it on A4 or US Letter paper at Actual size, which is 100 percent. Free accounts can download up to 20 printables a day.
Work through one part together, cover the remaining questions and use objects such as buttons or crayons to explain the idea. Return to the page later rather than turning practice into a long sitting.
