Craft Templates for Kids

This subcategory brings related templates together so you can choose a starting point quickly. Shape Templates include simple forms for tracing, collage and pattern work. Animal, Flower, Leaf, Heart, Star and Butterfly Templates support colouring, cutting and paper crafts. Diya Templates can be used for Diwali activities, while Pumpkin Templates suit seasonal art and classroom displays. Open a topic page to find the template style that matches your activity, then print the pages you need for each child.

For children aged 3 to 5, begin with large, clear outlines such as hearts, stars, leaves or simple shapes. Your child can colour inside the lines, stick paper pieces on the outline or practise safe cutting with help. Children aged 6 to 8 may trace several shapes, combine animal parts or make a flower and leaf collage. Older children can create repeating patterns, layered paper art or a themed display using several templates. Choose fewer details for beginners and smaller sections for children ready for a challenge.

At home, print a few shapes for a rainy-day collage, or use animal templates to make a paper puppet with a craft stick. A child can colour diya templates and add them to a Diwali greeting display with adult help. In class, give each group a different flower, leaf or butterfly template and make a shared nature board. Use stars and hearts for pattern-making, counting or short messages. Reuse a printed outline as a tracing sheet, painting stencil or guide for cutting coloured paper.

Choose a topic page, open the activity you want and download the PDF using a free EarlyActivity account. A free account can download up to 20 printables a day. Files are sized for A4 and US Letter paper. In your print settings, select Actual size or 100% so the template keeps its intended proportions. Print at home or in your own classroom, and keep the PDF for your personal use. Sharing or reselling the files is not allowed. EarlyActivity Plus is an optional paid membership with no ads and more downloads.
