About chore & reward charts

Charts for routines, effort, and everyday tasks

This subcategory brings together charts that help children see a task, make a mark, and notice their own progress. You can choose Reward Charts for Kids for a general goal, Chore Charts for Kids for household tasks, or Sticker Charts for younger children. Behaviour Charts, Potty Training Chart, Reading Reward Chart, and Homework Chart focus on particular routines. Each topic page gives you a clear starting point, so you can pick a chart based on the habit or responsibility you want to practise.

Choose a chart that suits your child's level

For children aged 3 to 5, start with a simple chart showing one action at a time, such as putting toys away or using the toilet. Pictures, stickers, and a small number of spaces can make the routine easy to follow. Children aged 6 to 8 may manage several daily chores, reading time, or homework checks. For ages 9 to 12, choose a chart with weekly tasks, written goals, or space for the child to record work. Adjust the number of tasks to match your child's routine.

Simple ways to use charts at home and in class

Print a chart and place it where your child can reach it, such as near the study table, bedroom door, or family noticeboard. Agree on the task first, then let your child add a sticker, tick, or colour after it is done. In class, use a reading or homework chart for individual practice, or keep a shared routine chart for pack-up time. Keep the goal clear and review it at the end of the week. You can use praise, extra story time, or choosing a family activity as a reward without making every mark a prize.

Download and print your chart

Open the topic page you want, choose a printable, and download the PDF using a free EarlyActivity account. Free accounts can download up to 20 printables a day, and most printables are free. The files are sized for A4 and US Letter paper. Select Actual size or 100% in your printer settings so the chart keeps its intended proportions. Print one copy for a trial, then place it in a folder or laminate it if you plan to use it again with a whiteboard marker.
