How to choose feelings & life skills

Activities for everyday life skills

This category brings together practical printables for children from Nursery to Class 5. Feelings and Mindfulness includes feelings worksheets and emotions worksheets. Routines and Good Habits has morning routine charts and bedtime routine charts. You can also find reward charts for kids, chore charts for kids, road safety worksheets, fire safety worksheets, good manners worksheets, magic words worksheets, saving money for kids and needs and wants worksheets. The sub-categories help you choose one skill at a time, so you can print a page that matches what your child is practising now.

Choose a page by age and level

For children aged 2 to 4, start with picture-based pages, simple emotion faces, daily routine cards and basic safety reminders. Children aged 4 to 6 can practise naming feelings, sorting needs and wants, learning magic words and following a morning or bedtime routine. For children aged 6 to 9, try chore charts, reward charts, road safety tasks and simple money activities. Children aged 9 to 12 may enjoy saving plans, spending choices, written reflection and more detailed fire safety or personal responsibility worksheets. Read the page preview and choose the amount of writing your child can manage.

Use them at home or in class

Print a morning routine chart and let your child tick off each step before school. Keep a bedtime chart near the place where your child gets ready to sleep. Use a feelings worksheet after a story, during circle time or when your child needs words for a mood. In class, set up a small station for manners, road safety or needs and wants. A chore chart can be filled in weekly, while a reward chart can track one clear task at a time. Talk through each page, then let your child colour, draw, match or write the answers.
