Printable Flashcards for Kids

This subcategory brings together flashcards for common Nursery, LKG, UKG and early primary topics. Choose Alphabet, Number, Colors, Shapes, Animal, Fruits, Vegetables, Vehicles, Body Parts, Opposites, Action Words or Emotions Flashcards. There are also topic pages for sight words, phonics, Hindi Varnamala, the Arabic alphabet, multiplication, birds and community helpers. The cards help you focus on one small group of words, pictures, letters or numbers at a time. Open a topic page to see the available printable PDF before choosing an activity for your child.

Start with familiar picture cards for a younger child. Animal, Fruits, Vegetables, Vehicles, Body Parts and Colors Flashcards give you simple subjects to name and talk about. For a child who knows some letters, try Alphabet, Phonics or Hindi Varnamala Flashcards. Number Flashcards can support counting practice, while Shapes and Opposites Flashcards give children useful words to compare. Older children in this age range can try Sight Word, Action Words, Emotions or Community Helpers Flashcards. Use a few cards at a time and return to the same set over several short sessions.

At home, show one card and ask your child to name the picture, letter, number or action. You can sort cards into groups, find an object that matches a card, or place three cards in order. For language practice, ask your child to make a short sentence with an action word or emotion. In class, use a set during circle time, pair children to take turns, or place cards at learning centres for matching and sorting. Keep the activity brief for younger children. To make it harder, hide the word, mix the cards, or ask your child to explain how two cards are different.
