How to choose flashcards & charts

Flashcards, Charts and Posters in One Place

This category brings together three useful types of learning printables. Flashcards help your child practise one idea at a time, such as a letter, number or familiar object. Educational charts show information at a glance, including the alphabet and numbers 1 to 100. Classroom posters give a clear reminder about good manners, routines or simple classroom rules. You can browse the Flashcards, Educational Charts and Classroom Posters sub-categories separately, then choose the pages that match your activity. Print one page for a quick lesson or keep a small set ready for regular practice.

Choose Pages by Age and Learning Level

For children aged 2 to 4, start with large, clear pictures, alphabet flashcards and small number sets. Ask your child to name what they see, find a matching object or count a few items. Children aged 4 to 6 can practise letter sounds, number names and simple ordering with alphabet and number flashcards. For Class 1 to 5, use an alphabet chart for reference, a number chart 1 to 100 for counting patterns, and posters that support classroom behaviour. Keep the task short for younger children. Older children can sort cards, read aloud or make their own quiz.

Simple Ways to Use Them at Home or in Class

At home, show three or four flashcards and ask your child to name, match or arrange them. Place a number chart near the study area and point to numbers while counting, skip counting or finding a number. In class, use a chart during circle time, keep flashcards in a small review stack, or display a Good Manners Poster where children can see it. You can laminate pages or place them in clear sleeves for repeated use. Invite children to work in pairs, take turns asking questions and check answers together.

Download and Print from EarlyActivity

Open the sub-category you need and select a printable to view its PDF. Most printables are free, and downloading needs a free EarlyActivity account. A free account can download up to 20 printables a day. The files are sized for A4 and US Letter paper. In your printer settings, choose Actual size or 100% rather than Fit to page, then check the preview before printing. Printables are for use at home or in your own classroom.
