Puzzles and Games for Kids

This category brings together paper activities that children can solve, colour, read and play. Choose from Mazes, Dot to Dot, Word Search, Crosswords, Spot the Difference, Matching and Memory Games, Sudoku and Logic Puzzles, Printable Games, and Riddles, Jokes and Tongue Twisters. The topics include Mazes for Kids, Dot to Dot 1 to 10, Animal Spot the Difference, Shadow Matching Worksheets and Picture Matching Worksheets. Start with a familiar theme, then move to a new type of puzzle when your child is ready for a change.

For children aged 2 to 4, begin with picture matching, shadow matching, very easy mazes and Dot to Dot 1 to 10. Children aged 4 to 6 may enjoy Easy Mazes, picture-based word searches and simple spot the difference pages. For Class 1 to 3, try Dot to Dot Worksheets, Word Search for Kids and Crossword Puzzles for Kids. Older children can practise Easy Crosswords for Kids, Sudoku, logic puzzles and longer word searches. Let your child work with a pencil first, and offer a crayon, highlighter or verbal clues if the activity feels difficult.

Keep a few printed pages in a folder for travel, waiting time or a quiet afternoon. At home, ask your child to explain the route through a maze, read each word found in a word search, or make a sentence with a crossword answer. In class, use a matching page as a warm-up, pair children for a memory game, or set a spot the difference page as a short observation task. You can also let children create their own riddles, jokes or tongue twisters after solving the examples.
