This set introduces familiar vehicles such as a car, bus, bicycle, train, boat, truck, aeroplane, motorcycle, ambulance and auto-rickshaw. Each card should have one clear vehicle picture with a simple label, so young children can focus on the object and its name. Children aged 2 to 4 can point, repeat words and sort vehicles by where they travel. Children aged 4 to 6 can name vehicles, describe their sounds or compare how they move. Pair these cards with Animal Flashcards when your child is ready to sort living things and vehicles.
Show two or three cards and ask your child to find the vehicle they saw on the road, at a station or near water. Place the cards face up and give clues such as, "This has two wheels" or "This travels on tracks." In class, children can match a card to a toy vehicle, make groups for land, water and air, or take turns choosing a card and making its sound. Use the cards during circle time, then invite children to draw a vehicle they use with their family. Short rounds keep the activity manageable for younger children.
Young children may call every large road vehicle a truck, or use car for a van, taxi or auto-rickshaw. Accept the first answer, then add the more precise word naturally: "Yes, it is a bus. It carries many people." Some children may confuse an aeroplane with a helicopter because both travel in the air. Point out one clear difference at a time, such as wings or spinning blades. Avoid correcting every word. Repeat the correct name, connect it to a real sight or sound, and give your child another chance to say it.
